Medical & Dental Practice

Dr. Pat Richard developed the cure for Torticollis-Spasmodic Dystonia, a condition where the patients head uncontrollably tilts to the side. Normally a person holds his/her head up- straight and normally does not uncontrollably tilt.

Because of the complexity of the problem, There are treatments that are very specific to each individual patient in the Protocol of Therapy for Torticollis-Spasmodic Dystonia. The integrity of the normal nervous system can be both strained and disrupted on different levels in this disorder.

The medical history of the patient as well as particular clinical presentation must be studied in detail for an optimal approach to the patient. Yes, the Protocol for treatment Must be individualized by Dr. Pat Richard in each case.

Additionally patients come to Doctor Pat Richard because of her expertise in the following: There is a very special medical and dental relationship in the connection between certain cerebral nerve cell groups, TMJ problems and understanding disturbances incited by aerospace flight conditions-that can manifest as symptoms of space-adaptation syndrome. Many seek out Dr. Richard for her unique background and Certifications in Aerospace Medicine, Pain Management, Temporomandibular joint disturbances - and for her clinical input into analyzing their problems. The range of symptoms the patients complain of are as diverse as the individual patients themselves. Each patient is diagnosed and treated individually.

In addition to the above clinical information, Dr. Richard easily treats painful conditions in all areas of the body, most notably: headaches, neck pain, chronic back pain, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, shoulder-arm and hand pain, sciatica, leg-knee-ankle-and foot pain.

When the patient has been unsuccessfully treated elsewhere, Dr. Richard must spend time reviewing the medical records and history of present illness in order to understand what the patient has endured. Once again, the clinical needs of each patient is as diverse as the patients are themselves. Each patient is diagnosed and treated individually.
